I called them, the parts haven't even arrived yet. Tell me again why I shouldn't just buy a Lexus as my DD?

Buy a Lexus. I loved my gs300. They're not the most exciting cars to buy but they're reliable, plenty of power, and comfortable.

Because you really want an S8.

There's no reason not to buy a Lexus except for the undeniable fact that they aren't Citroens. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but it's certainly a thing.

I'm getting the S8. But a CT200H or an old LS would make a nice DD.

Because what would you write about if you got a Lexus? How reliable it is, how boring it is? How if you put a nickel (or whatever coinage you have over there) on the engine that it wouldn't move? No no, we need you here writing about that car. I am carless, in snowy Manhattan. You keep my mind moving - I live vicariously through you.
I don't wish more problems on you, however.

How much are new Subarus where you live? The new Legacy could be a nice replacement.

I would write (a lot) a about the S8, that will certainly give me unequal amounts of happiness and headaches. I was thinking about an LS (older one) or a slightly used CT200h, but I'll probably just keep the Citroen, it has character. How snowy is it?

Brand new around $50k, the older ones I can afford.

In that case, get both.

That is true, they are very different machines.

Wish they imported the GS here, I would buy either an older LS or a CT200H

Damn! I can't believe that. In the US, my new Outback was about $25,000. Anyways, since you've seemed to have such good luck with your Tribeca, why not just add a second Subie to your stable.

Personally, I would love an LS.
But I think I would love a C5 Tourer even more.

Please don't do this to me, now I'm looking at used C5 Tourers

We didn't get hit as hard as they predicted. From the front of my building - nothing really:

Because you're making us Americans jealous even with it broken.

If you decided to go that route (it would be a bad idea, but I would be infinitely jealous) make sure you find the right wheels! These ones are the best. They make the car look at least 6 times better than with the hubcaps. Also a manual. Also please send it to me in America when you're done with it. I will pay for the stamps. Thanks.

Yeah, not that much, about the same as we had in Switzerland earlier this month.

Ughh, that is a thing of pure forbidden lust and beauty...

Because you can't throw the forbidden fruit you get to eat in all of our faces if you don't have it anymore.

Big rwd vs small hybrid. I don't know much about either but I've read that the ct200 is nice but not Lexus nice. It's based on the Prius I think. I see one around town all the time. A couple and their now small child.
My gf loves the way they look. There's that too.
